Fashionable Maternity Clothes for those who Refuse to give Up

When you are pregnant, comfort is the only thing that should be on your mind when you buy stuff to wear. At least, this is what you're always told. For the longest time, you couldn’t put fashion into maternity wear no matter how much you were willing to pay. Those bad old days long gone now, however. Mothers-to-be are completely interested in keeping their lives going the way they've been used, to the last day before the baby comes along.  Just because you’re pregnant, it doesn't mean that you would be willing to stay away from work or stay away from having fun with your partner or your friends. The first three months of the pregnancy don't really change your body in any visible way. It's the fourth month onwards you need to be thinking about fashionable maternity clothes.

The fourth month is what in technical language, the doctors call the second trimester. You are well along in your pregnancy at this point and if you were a celebrity, you'd have the paparazzi going crazy about your baby bump. But your abdomen isn’t the only part of your body that gets to be generously proportioned at this time. Your breasts begin to really grow so that you're easily a cup size, bigger more or less. You need something that will give you adequate support as well. You really begin needing maternity clothes at this stage; only, you don’t want to buy anything that comes as a single unit.

Since you'll be growing every week when you're pregnant, you basically want something you can take in or let out at will. Go for clothes that have elastic or string ties that will let you accomplish this. And whatever bra you buy, you want to look for additional room for the near future. Get them with hook extenders so that you can make them last.

The thing about fashionable maternity clothes is that it can be difficult to take something simple and inexpensive and make it look flattering around a growing body. Your best bet for this would be to buy clothes that you drape around yourself, usually in simple primary colors. These can do great for any kind of social situation.

Maternity jeans can be a great idea too. They're designed to be quite roomy around the hips, and they stay up with elastic and not buttons. Of course, you'll be tempted to think that all those advocates of "function over form" in maternity clothes were right all along, once you get to the seventh month. You'll be so uncomfortable so often that basically, choosing to look fashionable won’t be at the top of the mind.

But you can't give up; you do have a reputation to keep up. You'll find that fashionable maternity clothes do exist for even for women this far along. For instance, consider an empire waist dress for comfort and also a fashionable look. And it's also time to remember that fashion isn't just about the clothes you wear. A great handbag and great accessories can make anyone think of your sense of style instead of what you fear they’ll think of. The best part with this is that they never get uncomfortable.
